this is kind of a random thought but i really like the stars

no matter where i am, i can look at the clear night sky and feel at home

i love looking at the stars because what i’m really looking at is the past

what i’m seeing in the night sky happened millions of years ago

but we’ve learned so much about the world around us from the stars, even if we’ll never be able to interact with them as we see them now

this has always been a comforting thought to me because although we cannot change the past, we can always learn from it

so whenever i’m feeling regret i just look at the stars and i’m alright
